Pamela G. Forducey was an INTEGRIS Health employee for 25 years. Her initial role with the organization was Director of Psychological Services for Jim Thorpe Rehabilitation Hospital in 1994. She is a licensed psychologist and is board certified in rehabilitation psychology. She received her doctorate in counseling psychology in 1989 from the University of Oklahoma and spent nine months during her training at the University of Adelaide, Honors Psychology, Adelaide, Australia.
Pam is passionate about innovative program development to ensure that all Oklahoma residents have access to evidence-based health care. She has been a part of the development team for the Traumatic Brain Injury Program and Clinical Development Department at Jim Thorpe Rehabilitation Hospital; the James R. Daniel Stroke Center at INTEGRIS Southwest Medical Center; the TeleStroke Network of Oklahoma™; and INTEGRIS Virtual Visit. Her most last role at INTEGRIS Health was as the Assistant Vice President of Arcadia Trails INTEGRIS Center for Addiction Recovery. She retired from INTEGRIS Health in 2018.
She has presented more than 70 professional presentations and has published 10 articles in peer reviewed professional journals. She has co-authored chapters in three texts, which focused on topics of human and organizational dynamics in eHealth and health care technology and management. Pam has served as project administrator for federal, private, and pharmaceutical grants during her tenure at INTEGRIS Health.
She has been a licensed psychologist since 1990 and has served in a hospital/medical setting with individuals and their family members with acquired neurological disabilities; including traumatic brain injury, stroke, amputation, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis.
She received my board certification in rehabilitation psychology from the American Board of Professional Psychology in 2004. The focus of rehabilitation psychology is on the provision of services consistent with the level of impairment, disability and handicap relative to the personal preferences, needs and resources of the individual with an acquired disability. Empowering clients and their family members, using evidence-based treatment modalities, promotes optimal physical, cognitive, psychosocial, and vocational functioning.
Over the past 17 years, Dr. Forducey has been an active volunteer and leader for Crossings Community Church Celebrate Recovery (CR) ministry, based on the 12-steps of AA and the 8 recovery principles (Beatitudes from the Bible). Serving in a leadership role, as a trainer and sponsor of CR leaders as well as past volunteer for the Crossings Community Clinic , has allowed her to use her clinical skills in a faith-based setting helping individuals who are struggling with a variety of issues that adversely impact their optimal psychological functioning in society. At the Crossings Clinic, Dr. Forducey worked with an interdisciplinary primary care team to help develop an integrated behavioral health program. This experience has greatly impacted on her effectiveness as a direct service provider and provided her with the opportunity to remain current in services and approaches to meeting the needs of her clients.
Currently, Dr. Forducey is a health service psychologist working on an outpatient basis with individuals with acquired disabilities and medical conditions.
